Abstract

Abstract: Twenty-four implants were placed in the jaws of five dogs for evaluation of the possibility of correcting local resorption. Implants and surrounding tissues were evaluated clinically, radiographically, and histologically for periods of 3 to 24 months. The implants were clinically and radiographically stable. Some were surrounded by connective tissue fibers and others were bonded to underlying cortical bone.
